World Machinery Giants to Meet in Istanbul in October - MAKTEK 2016
Industry 4.0 has been one of the hottest global topics of the last five years. New generation machines shaping the future of Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing field will take to the stage at MAKTEK 2016.
The biggest convention of the sector in Eurasia, which is organized with the cooperation of the Machine Tools Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TİAD) and Association of Turkish Machine Manufacturers (MİB), will host machinery giants in Istanbul from October 11-16th. With the support of the Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, the event will open at TÜYAP Fair and Convention Center and is expected to create a business volume of 1.5 billion USD.
The countdown has started for MAKTEK Eurasia 2016 organized by TİAD and MİB, the two large business associations representing the machinery and machine tool sectors among Turkey’s strategic sectors. Featuring as one of the important topics of recent years, including at the World Economic Forum, Industry 4.0’s pioneer machines will be introduced at TÜYAP Fair and Convention Center in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul by the world’s machinery giants. Under the slogan “Industry 4.0 and the Smart Manufacturing Engineering of the Future” hailing the great transformation that awaits the industry, the event will convey machinery, robotics and human impact in 14 halls across a 120,000m2 area. This year’s event is expected to create a business volume of 1.5 billion USD.
HOSTING OVER 70,000 SECTOR PROFESSIONALS FROM 75 COUNTRIES
TÜYAP Fair and Fair Services General Manager İlhan Ersözlü states that the machinery and machine tool sectors are of strategic significance for Turkey to reach its 500 billion USD exports objective for 2023. “This year at MAKTEK Eurasia 2016 we will gather over 70,000 sector professionals from 75 countries, while introducing the sector to the world and the developments awaiting all sectors with the new industrial revolution,” he said.
Stating that alongside Turkey, participants from over 30 important countries of the sector, such as Germany, Spain, China, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Japan, Italy and the UK will exhibit their innovative products, Ersözlü said,
“This event held once every two years is the Eurasian region’s biggest with 1378 companies and company representatives taking part in the last. We have the support of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Economy, over 30 foreign missions and representative offices. With our publicity studies, approximately 1,500 brands’ products will be introduced for the first time. The most significant item on the agenda of the fair will be Industry 4.0. In the next 10 years, Industry 4.0 will bring new opportunities for developed and emerging economies.
Experts in their fields will explain the advantages Industry 4.0 will create, the productivity it will provide, the turnover increase, investment, labor, incentives, and technological systems required for Industry 4.0 and transition and training issues. Moreover, participants and visitors will be able to organize meetings with purchasing teams during the fair, to create different business opportunities and to reach new markets, under the “Fair Special Visitor Program”. MAKTEK Eurasia 2016 has unique properties and requires special experience and expertise in machinery and technology fair organization. At MAKTEK Eurasia 2016, opening the door to global opportunities for the sector and manufacturing, CNC, universal machining machines, sheet metal processing machines, cutting tools, tool holders, CAD/CAM, PLM software, measurement tools, quality control devices and equipment, welding, cutting equipment, welding machines, spare parts, heat treatment hardware, carrying systems, oiling and cooling systems will be exhibited.
